7 Cumbola, PA » Yuengling brews a lot of Lager in Tampa and trucks it north in regular (unrefrigerated) 18 wheelers. Maybe that's where the "skunky" problem starts.

11 therealyuenglingirl» Speaking from a 21 female From western PA's point of view..Screw light beers..make mine a Yuengling Lager!

10 TXGrrl» My grandparents live in Pottsville, so naturally there is no beer but Yuengling beer in their fridge. Hate the Ale, Black & Tan is so-so, but love the Lager and the Pottsville Porter. I bring three or four cases back with me down to TX every year.

11 brian h» As to the "skunked " comments...once the lager is cold , it needs to stay cold. If you let it warm up at all it will skunk...Keep it cold drink it cold. Still my favorite beer of all time!

10 kegs» I have been purchasing kegs of Lager for 7 yrs now.I rcved a skunked keg 12/03 and the distributer was nice enough to replace it.I just purchase another on 3/04 and it too was skunked.Got it replaced and the replacement is skunked;(What is going on?

3 E.K. Goldings» Slightly better than the hapless hopless corn/rice infused swill made by the big boys.....key word here is "slightly".

9 eightkid» Sales grew throught the roof in 2003. Can't go wrong with any of their products. I had a draft Lager in the bar where the first keg of beer was tapped in America. I think that keg was a Yeungling. Easy drinking and real tasty.

10 pittbeerman» It's line is a rather enjoyable one for the price, i highly recommend their black and tan a personal favorite of mine, but the regular yeungling also won't let you down, avoided their premium line though, it's isn't worth saving the couple bucks

4 Tony» Made mine water from Pottsville

9 groonboy» great beer for those on a budget

4 Brian in VA» Great beer, but I have purchased my third consecutive skunked case from these guys within the last three months!!!!! 12/23/03

8 paddy» Great cheap beer! In Philly all you need to do is ask for Lager, they know what you mean. You should also try their black & tan.(It is'nt a true one, but it's my favorite Yuengling beer)

4 none» it aint all that, but one thing it has going for it is cheap.

10 A Furture Norm» What a great beer, it is always a first choice. Its not crap on tap! (like the Coors, Bud, Miller, etc)

10 justin» Pittsburgh PA...one of the best available on tap in the local bars and thank god they moved the Bud Light tap over for some of this!

10 jake» A really fine drinking beer. IMO, Yeungling is one of the finest inexpensive beers on the market. Cheap, good, and able to be enjoyed by just about everyone

11 Brian Heacock» The lager is by far the best beer on the market...I'm originally from the greater Philly area and have managed to spread the word into western MD.Now available locally,it has become a household name!

11 Tim» The Best. Period.

11 PSUbeerman» Ummm Yuengling Very good beer little aftertaste it's great with a pizza or what ever else that you are eating. I come from Happy Valley where it is known as just Lager. Custom balck and tans are the best, lager and porter mixed Yummy!

10 joseycuervo» its the beer of choice around greensboro,nc. its also just about the only mass produced beer i find palatable.

10 Chuggy» Outstanding beer! We couldn't get it in the South until recently, so I had to depend on trips to the Nawth in order to quench my thirst. It's sold down here now and that makes life grand.

8 will» the porter beats all their others by a mile

11 Yuengking» Ahhh... the temptation... opening the fridge and seeing a yuengling lager and needing to drink it... best beer i've had

11 IL Blues» I moved from NJ to IL and was devestated that Yeungling is not sold here. It was all I drank back in NJ. PLEASE SHIP TO BLOOMINGTON, IL. it is where beer nuts are made and The BEST BEER in the world needs to be enjoyed with them

11 Derrick» I'm friggin hooked.

1 Elvis» It looks like a beer, only smaller. Oldest doesn't mean that it's good. It tastes more than light beer, but the taste is really bad. Gimme a Moosehead or a PBR any day of the week over this piss.

11 Stonecold» Makes my mouth water just thinking about it ,as a matter of fact gonna go get one right now !

11 Dan» This is the most drinkable beer around. It is not overly carbonated and has a GREAT smooth but strong flavor. Goes very will with food (Pizza, Chicken Wings, Burgers...etc).

11 RedTank» Lager or Black and Tan, nothing beats Yuengling. Plus Richie Ashburn used to do their radio commercials! Black and Tan is better than Lager from the bottle, Lager is better draft than Black and Tan.

0 BBINNY» PENNSYLVANIA PRODUCES MOST OF THE WORST BEER IN THE WORLD AND THIS ONE'S ON TOP OF THE LIST.TRIED IT IN THE 80'S AND AGAIN LAST MONTH, WITH THE NEW PACKAGING AND AD CAMPAIGN.THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SEX AND RAPE IS...........SALESMENSHIP!!!!!!

9 Missing Philly» Yuengling is the Best! I lived in Philly, but moved to Cali recently and I'm still trying to find a way to import this wonderful beer. Philly Rules!

11 Paul A. Smith, Jr» Yeungling Lager may not be the best in the world but I have yet to find its betters (sic). Sorry Fat Tire, you are a very very close second.

11 kevman» I grew up just a few miles from the brewery. Now I live half a country away and wish I could get it "imported" across state lines. Great beer whether you like the lighter Lager or thick Black&Tan!!!

11 Chiefbomb» I just love this stuff, grew up on it. In PA, say Lager, and this is what you get. And cheap! You can find it for $14/case of bottles at select places in the coal region, $1/pitcher at some bars.

8 schlingdinger» very good beer. when im back east in a bar i tend to order this most often. due to its drinkability over the long haul.

1 Spence» I'm from Philly. As the comic book shop guy would say: "Worst Beer EVER!" I hate this crap! Blah!!! I have no clue why people think it's so great. ????

8 israelsson92» Another solid good beer. And hey, Thirsty In Georgia, just stick to SouthPaw. It's cheaper.

11 Rich » Like Brian Dawkins, I hope it stay's Philadelphia's "Best Kept Secret"

11 Rob in NJ» Yuengling is the best damn beer in the country. For the price, no better. Even Lager Light is good! Check out my clone recipe on beertools.com

11 Randy» The lager the most drinkable brew I've ever had. I used to buy the imports for their flavor but Yuengling has won me over.

1 Thirsty in Georgia» best beer ever tasted? Why cant i get it in Atlanta?

11 ben» My favorite beer by far light yet flavorful at the same time

9 Lord of Pubs» Closest thing to a British pub ale I've found since moving to your so called "States". You Yanks actually DO have the ability to make beer! I've been wrong all these years!

1 ZIPPERTRIPPER» I lived near Pottsville, The people there call it Chinese beer, Ying-ling.

11 DAMN IT!!!!» I got hooked in Maryland on this stuff, and now Ive moved to colorado and cant get it any more. Wonderfull beer on of the best around

6 Moosecrik» The lager is very drinkable. Black & Tan, Porter are awesome, particularly for moderately priced beers. If you get the opportunity, tour the brewery.

10 China Bob» A family staple for years, literally - this beer is like mother's milk around our house

11 Damon» Got me thru college. Nice flavor, good body.

11 steve» All their varieties are great - Lager, premium, black & tan, even Light and Lager Light.

9 Bruce» Great dinner beer! Can be a bit filling so pace yourself. The full flavor speaks highly for tradition and heritage for this country. If you find it too filling try Yuengling Light.

1 PissedOff» This beer used to be good. Something happened somewhere along the line with the brewery expanding and now it tastes like crap corporate beer.

9 Dave» A great American beer, to rival imports

10 J. Askey» Yes, excellent brew for sure. I also recommend their black & tan highly. Enjoy!

11 Gary T» The Lager is great... but you have to try the Black & Tan! It's very dark in color, but surprisingly light in flavor...

9 Brian» delicious

11 Nick in Pittsburgh» One of my favorites. Sorry for all who can't find it. Your missing out on a great beer.

9 pounder» The lager is a great all-purpose beer, and the porter is amazing. Great stuff!
