10 Native Bitburger» Bottled or on draft, it is simply the best, but only when consuming in Germany. The USA version tastes terrible - the pasteurization must remove some vital taste qualities.

5 321» One of the few beers I couldn't finish. Umm.. this stuff tastes like lighter fluid.

9 beerleer» my favourite draught beer (i know this is a pils one). some people says its bland but i like the mild bitterness wihtout the face twisting aftertaste when you hit the last swig. nice price too

0 Beer Lover» Tastes like ass.

9 unter den bieren» tastes like every other germen lager/pilsner but still great

7 Scrappy» Bit is a good, well balanced beer. Way better than the BMC crap, but can't get an 8 or higher IMO because there's so many good IPA, Stouts, and other more robust/flavorful beers out there.

11 applejack» I just moved back to the US from Germany. The only one I miss is the German brewed Bitburger Pils. The U.S. version, tainted with preservatives does not do the crisp, bitter taste of a Bitburger draft,or stubie, justice. Man, I'm dyin' for a cold one

8 portiers» Stationed (Army) between BitBurg and Treir (Butzweiler Germany 1979-81) It's what we drank instead of water. Took time to get used to. I have some on my bar. after ten years could they still be good.

9 baerchen» It's the "Rheinheitsgebot" actually. Good beer IMHO.. Goes well with a nice schlachtplatte and rotkohl

8 SteveO» Best had on draft

11 ben seegraves» best beer ever!

6 Danimal» Smoked beer is from Bamberg, not Wuerzburg. I got a coupla bottles in my kuhlschrank now. IT is the best German bier. Bit is mediocre; but it's better than no bier at all!

6 Synthobsession» Alright beer.

10 darren j.» Bitburger, Spaten, Erdinger...the best. Rule no.one: all American beer is pure crap.

11 acorn» Wonderful to have it available for those of us that can't go to another country. My father brought a baby keg (5L) to hubbies 50th b-day (small) party. Just right amount and one of our favorites.

0 Von Steuben» HAcker Pshorr is much better. Tastes like tin foil

0 Adolf» There are much more better German beers oout there. Give this one a pass.

1 Thomas Bethke» Jägerschnitzel and Wienerschnitzel? is not german food. is a internationaler big bullshitfood for Touristics. The same is Bitburger, OK! Scheinebraten mit Klößen, that it is and Strauß Märzen colled from Faß Servus from Germany

10 zinkman» all german beer is great because it is brewed under the german purity act of 1516...strict rules on how beer is to be made...you cant buy budweiser in deutschland because it is brewed with rice...i believe the german purity act is called rhiensgebot.

11 Jason» I have lived in Germany for over 6 years with the military. Not only is Bitburger one of the best, the German brewers have to follow strict brewing guidelines when they make beer. So with a Bit, as they say here, you get a healthy Beer!

1 gill» this beer fuckin sucked zombie ass

8 Peter H.» Played music in Germany for 8 yrs, Bitburger is 1 of the best, I also like Becks (crisp) and Urquell (Czech), has anybody tried German smoked beer (Wurzburg) it will do what the name suggests, it will smoke you.

11 ob goat daz» its the taste

8 Luke» Nothing better than one of these bad boys before babysitting.

8 C-5 Engineer» Its a big airplane and we carried alot more then cargo in it. German beer ruined me for anything else.Bitburger or anything else brewed somewhere other then adolf coors. and anheiser busch's water factory. thats the Bomb!!

10 Weepster/ jet troop» Hahn AB 89-91, Spangdahlem AB 91-93 Elmendorf 93-02,JDeere's 03-,enjoyed Grolsch, but loved Bitburger, Alaskan Amber not bad, but happy to enjoy a cold Bitburger in my USAF Ret.

11 Tim » Wundubar, the best beer ever

10 Susan» After living in Germany and visiting there many times, I am used to the pilsners from the Pfalz and Eifel regions. Kirner Pils is also quite good.Remember, we're judging pilsner here, not weizen(also fab). I haven't met a G-bier that I didn't like!

5 Griff» You people should try Pilsner Urquell if you want the Original Pilsner! Wiesen beer is quite tasy also .Yes I agree Bitburger is a fine pilsner but not the best in my book.

0 Herr Krueger» You Americans only like Bitburg because you drink the crap you call "beer" back in the States.

11 Eric A.» When you go Bit, you never go back. American beers taste like water after drinking Bitburger. Spent three wonderful years at Bitburg AB in the late 80's early 90's enjoying this fine Pilsner Beer.

10 papadash» Great stuff. Dry and crispy finish. Makes you want more and more. Except AB piss drinkers (workers)like cartman

10 auslese_63» Spent many nights in the gausthouse enjoying Bitburger. The only thing better than a Bit is another Bit. Bitte Ein Bit!

11 Brian» Best darn pils in the world. I've lived in Europe and nothing comes close to the great taste of a Bitburger! Finally US restaurants and liquor stores have started importing my favorite beer.

10 DaveH» Bitburger! Simply the finest beer in existance. Fond memories of 1981 through 1985 in Pruem. Bitburger was delivered to the house!

11 Bill» Drank Tons of it while living in Germany. By far the best beer I've had. Too bad its ridiculously expenseive in the States.

11 shane» english guy who travelled europe. best beer i came across

11 tga22» Hello beer-lovers... I live about 30 car-minutes away from Bitburg... there`s nothing about a Bitburger... the best beer ever... it`s good to hear that Bitburger is beeing enjoyed around the world -...

11 Steve» Simply the best. I lived on Heinrichstrasse right down from the old brewery ('80-'83) and remember buying a case of 20 stubbes for about $5! You could smell the hops throughout the town as they brewed it. Where to have it in Massachusetts?

11 Tibbo» Absolutely the best! Been my one and only choice for over 5 years.

2 jess» the other comments say it is better in germany but based on beers i have had in texas, this is a truly terrible beer.

10 Jagcat007» From a small local pilsner, to one of Germany's favorites today, I will never forget seeing Bitburger kegs being delivered to local gasthauses when I was stationed in that area -- by horse-drawn wagon! (1969-70). Truly a great beer!

10 Goat» Truly great beer. One of the best.

9 elpadrino» Drank several of these in Germany. Tastes way better in Germany then it does in bottles sold in America. A very good beer.

11 hch3rd» Lived in Bitburg, Germany. Absolutely the best beer I've ever had!

11 Marc» In the running for the worlds best beer.

9 Baldyeaglehead» Good beer, and 8-packs of half-liter cans are selling for about the same price as a six pack of Miller here in Milwaukee. Happy? You Bet!

11 Jeremy» Bitburger is The Best I should know. I live here and drink it every weekend. You can see the Brewery from my house. What's really great is when you wake up to the wonderful smell of Those jolly Germans making the stuff!!!

10 Big Ben» Ultimately, the best beer in the World.

10 rotnsox» This is the first beer that I purchased legally.

8 Kevin» Not the best German beer but still better than coors. (sorry 1 bud)

8 Bill P» I too had it at Zum. Everything there tastes better. No speatzel though.

9 FreddieJ» I judge beer not only on how well it drinks, but how well it gets you drunk. This is a fun one. Hang yur' balls out there, and get lit on Bit'.

7 thechuck» good, not great. The Miller of Germany. A good Euro pilsner is Pilsner Urquel.
